The Association of Children's Museums (ACM) recognizes Ruby Bridges, Yvonne Simons, and Jeanne White-Ginder with its 2015 Great Friend to Kids Award for advocating the power of children to change the world. The award ceremony will take place at InterActivity 2015: Bringing the World to Children and Families on Friday, May 15, 10:30 a.m., at the Indianapolis Marriott Downtown. The awards will be presented by Dr. William Adams, chairman of the National Endowment for the Humanities. Immediately following the presentation ceremony, all three honorees will join a moderated armchair discussion moderated by Dr. Jeffrey Patchen, president and CEO of The Children's Museum of Indianapolis.
The Association of Children's Museums (ACM) and The Children's Museum of Indianapolis will host InterActivity 2015: Bringing the World to Children, May 13-15 in Indianapolis. InterActivity is the largest convening of children's museum professionals, bringing nearly 900 attendees from twenty countries to discuss and share best practices and pressing issues affecting children, families, and children's museums themselves.
