Students And Educators
You believe in the power of learning through play, and understand that children's museums are essential community assets. So does ACM.
ACM's membership category for individuals and nonprofit staff is a broad category. You may be an individual considering to establish a new children's museum, a museum studies student, a scholar, a staff member at an open children's museum or professional working at organization that shares ACM values.
Regardless, your ACM Membership entitles you to several benefits, many of which can be accessed from this Web site.
Here are a few tips and features about the site.
-
Members Only Content: Unlike the old site, you will be prompted to logon as a member if you try to access a Members Only page. It's best to logon to the site at the beginning of your site visit. The Member LogOn link is in the upper right hand corner of the site. Don't have a Member LogOn or forgotten your username and password? Click here for help!
-
Search Function: It really works! So if you're looking for specific content, type in a keyword in the Search field, found under the Member LogOn link.
-
Professional Development Tab: This area is where you'll find information about the InterActivity Conference. You'll also find links to learn about ACM Publications and Toolkits.
-
Data & Resources Tab: This area includes six buckets of information, including a link to a Children's Museum Data section, where you find the the Open Museum Directory, Query Report Service and Metrics Reports.
-
Research & Practice Exchange: This is a new and developing resource in the Data & Resources area. You can submit research abstracts, summaries of museum best practices as well as browse descriptions of award-winning MetLife Foundation & ACM Promising Practices and ACM-approved research and practice recommendations.
