Education & Programs Coordinator

Description

The Education & Programs Coordinator is responsible for developing and implementing education programs in alignment with the Museum's mission and Program Criteria. This position identifies opportunities for expanding community educational outreach programs. Prepares schedules of classes and drafts of course content; Assists with hiring and training education staff, fun facilitators, volunteers and contractors. Manages budget for education programs.

BA/BS in early-childhood education and/or early childhood development or a related field.

Minimum of four years of experience in education, child development, museum education or other related areas.

Should be a team player and have an understanding of hands-on and informal learning, a commitment to providing high quality services, public speaking experience, and knowledge of evaluation techniques.

Excellent oral and written communications skills.

Positive, team-oriented attitude

Strong organizational and communication skills

Ability to lift, carry and otherwise move up to 20+ pounds

Ability to utilize computer equipment to complete daily work responsibilities; knowledge of the use of Google Suite a plus

Ability to operate fax/copy machines, telephone, calculator and general office equipment

Ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, reach, push, pull, climb or walk for various lengths of time throughout the day

Bilingual preferred
