Resource Development • Designs and implements a comprehensive annual fundraising plan. • Works with the Executive Director and Board of Directors to implement the development plan. • Creates, updates, and maintains a resource file of donors. o Included in files is giving history, current contact information, all correspondence, and personal information related to the donor. • Oversees, identifies, cultivates, and solicits gifts from multiple sources (e.g. individuals, corporations, foundations, the public sector). • Engages Board Members in identifying, cultivating, and soliciting prospects and donors. • Designs and implements a comprehensive capital fundraising when needed. Stewardship & Acknowledgement • Oversees correspondence with donors to acknowledge gifts including in-kind donations. • Becomes the shepherd of funding relationships. Keeps the Executive Director and Board up-to-date on pertinent donor information. • Coordinates with the Executive Director and donors regarding acknowledgements and "asks." • Sets appointments and arranges for major asks. Recruits board members and the Executive Director to be a part of the "ask." • Cultivates donors by personally building and maintaining key relationships to ensure the fund development strategy is achieved. Fundraising Event Coordination • Maintains all timelines for events and manages projects related to fundraising. • Manages all vendor relationships, logistics, and other needs for fundraising. • Acts as liaison to fundraising committees. Community Representation • Develops and secures new cornerstone partnerships for the WONDERtorium each year. • Represents the WONDERtorium at community and foundation events. • Promotes the mission of the WONDERtorium in the community. Administration and Other Duties • Collaborates with museum marketing staff on fundraising collateral and digital messages. • Provides reports as requested by the Executive Director and Board of Directors. • Maintains professionalism, organizational standards, and confidentiality as a representative of the WONDERtorium to all donors, members, staff, and other key stakeholders. • Travels regularly throughout the region. • Engages in professional development activities such as training, conferences, research and coaching, as well as attends various community events. • Provides general administrative functions such as expense reporting, budget oversight, consultation with other team members, attendance at scheduled meetings, and acting as a liaison to various committees and the Board of Directors.
