Deadline: March 19, 2009
Showcase: Share how diversity is
in action at your institution with your friends and colleagues
at InterActivity 2008 in Denver, Colorado. Whether it is through
creative programming, community outreach, specialized exhibits
or staff support and/or recruitment, we want to see how your
museum integrates and supports diversity in the broadest and
most inclusive sense of word, in its mission and daily operations.
Participating institutions will contribute to a poster session
and welcome breakfast and have their displays up during the
conference.
Eligibility: The Showcase is open
to ACM museum member institutions in good standing. ACM requires
that at least one member of your institution accompany and
set up showcase materials. The presenter must register for
InterActivity and pay for all travel expenses.
Showcase Details:
Participants will be featured in a dedicated Diversity in Action
Showcase Room and will be highlighted in a variety of ways at
InterActivity and beyond, including:
- A required Diversity
in Action Showcase Rotating Poster Session on Tuesday,
April 28, 3:00 p.m.-4:15 p.m.
- An optional Diversity
in Action Showcase General Session on Wednesday, April
29, 9:15 a.m.-10:30 a.m.
- A posting on the ACM Web site.
Showcase Ideas: Work within your
own creativity and resources in developing the showcase
materials. Please note that all materials must fit as a
table top exhibit on one half of a 6' table. Some suggestions
