Program Description: The InterActivity
Small Museums Financial Aid Program will provide five (5) selected
individuals from five unique museum institutions with complimentary
registration to InterActivity 2011 and tickets to three evening
events. The goal of the program is to offset professional development
expenses for museum staff at open children's museums with annual
budgets under $500,000, who would otherwise be unable to attend
InterActivity. The intent of the program is to cultivate staff members
at small museums for long-term careers in the children's museum
field. Travel to InterActivity and hotel accommodations are the
responsibility of the selected recipient.
Applicant Eligibility: All applicants are
expected to meet the following eligibility requirements.
- Employed at an open,
current ACM member children's museum that has an annual operating
budget under $500,000.
- Employed for at least one year at the ACM member
children's museum.
- Applicant is committed to a career in
the children's museum field.
Additional Considerations: Applications
will be reviewed based on the complete, accurate information submitted
by the applicant. Applicants and applicant supervisors should clearly
understand and endorse the benefits and responsibilities that come
with the financial aid.
Application Process: Applicants must complete
the online application in one sitting; ACM recommends that applicants
prepare their answers for the essay questions ahead of time. ACM
will send a confirmation email once your application has been submitted.
