FLIP National Training & Implementation Award
Online Application--CLOSED

Application Deadline: October 15, 2010

U.S. Children's museums and their library partners are eligible to apply as a team for a day-long, all-expense-paid (max $850/person) FLIP training workshop at the Children's Museum of Houston on May 18, 2011, one day prior to the Association of Children's Museums' annual conference, InterActivity 2011.

Ten teams will be selected and will be among the first implementation cities. After May 18, other museums and libraries will be invited to purchase FLIP plans and manuals for a nominal fee.

Eligibility

Applications for the National Training and Implementation Workshop will be accepted from collaborating U.S. Museums and Libraries that are committed to implementing the FLIP Project in their community. These organizations must be active members of their respective professional organizations: either the Association of Children's Museums or the Association for Library Service to Children.

FLIP is a multi-lingual interactive learning program designed by the Children’s Museum of Houston in partnership with Houston Public Library and the University of Texas Children’s Learning Institute.

Major funding for the initiative has been provided by the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
