Media Opportunity with PBS KIDS Sprout: "Let's Go Show" Discoveries

WHAT:

Work with ACM to create scientific explanations for preschoolers on a variety of "Let's Go Show" Season Two topics.
WHO: All ACM open museum members are welcome to apply.
WHEN: Respond by March 17, 2008
WHY:



This is a great media and branding opportunity. If selected, your museum will be featured on the Sprout site, which averages 20,000 visitors per month. Your museum's scientific explanation will be credited and your museum's logo, exhibit/activity images and Web hyperlink will be included on the" Let's Go Show" microsite.

If your museum would like apply as a "Let's Go Show" Discovery Expert, please complete the form below. ACM will notify all members about the selected museums.

Museums selection will be based on the following:

  1. Museum/museum staff member has expertise to answer the topic question.

  2. Museum staff has the capacity to work within the project timeline. (Draft explanation need to be written between March 17 and April 7).

  3. Museum submitted a "Let's Go Show" Discovery Expert Application in a timely manner.

moon and on Earth

14) Wind power

15) Clouds

16) Coins (focus on various metals and tarnishing)

17) Phases of the moon

18) Building with shapes; columns and strength

19) Nocturnal animals/insect sounds

20) Metamorphosis (focus on caterpillar to butterfly)

21) Music and pitch
