Long Island Children's MuseumLong Island Children’s Museum has developed a school-museum teaching model to expand the science education program with the underserved school district of Westbury, NY. Through the program, which is funded by National Grid, Westbury teachers and students have exclusive use of the Museums on Monday. Teachers use LICM’s exhibitions and hands-on workshops to teach science curriculum; multiple visits to LICM directly engage students in the process of scientific inquiry.
